Jefferson was the nation’s first Secretary of State under George Washington, and, as president in 1803, he oversaw the expansion of the United States with the Louisiana Purchase. For over five decades he loved and served his country guiding her through expansion, war, turmoil, and prosperity.

When in the course of miniature human historic figures, TJ was a must have for my first miniature. Flawless painted details, from hat to boots, I can't imagine how any person could be so steady. Jeffy was pleased to stand in front of his most famous work, and to see it was still around. I thought it appropriate that he has a slightly forward leaning stance, befitting of his progressiveness.
