Antiqued Brass Compass and Clock with Hinged Lid

  • Brass
  • Compass body: 3 inches in diameter
  • Clock embedded in the lid
  • Clock requires an SRS626SW watch battery, not included

  • This antique reproduction navigational equipment has long been replaced by modern-day versions in electronic form, and makes for an intriguing gift to be kept on a bookshelf or desktop. With a decorative wooden storage box, this shiny piece is bound to be a conversation starter and curiosity from days of yore. The integrated watch is an additional off-the-grid helper. The battery can be accessed from the top of the lid by turning the "ships wheel" portion of the lid.

  • Among the many maritime records kept by the National Archives are fascinating historical documents announcing the appointments of customs officials; correspondence; records from customs districts; documents from lighthouses and the weather bureau; and shipwreck reports.

Nice Replication of an Antique

This is a really nice, working replication of an antique watch / compass. It makes a nice conversation piece among my other American memorabilia. It also is offered at an extremely affordable price, and would certainly make for a valuable gift for the historical buff in your life.
